CTM Racing in August
Though August has come and gone, CTM had one of it's best months to date. Early in the month saw CTM take podium after podium at the Crossroads Crits, then on to the bigger task at hand, reclaiming the SC Elite State RR title. Not only did CTM take the first place honors with Jimbo Cunningham for the 2nd straight year but new addition Chris Gundling came in for a strong 2nd place in SC. CTM once again rode an active race and had a rider represented in every move of the day and often more than one.
The same weekend Jimbo, Sean and Chris and David traveled over to ATL to race in the 100K Classic against very pro in the US that could not race in the US Pro. EVERY Pro team had at least 6 racers in race and the pace was FAST. Attacks after attacks were flying off the front. A very large group of 20 got off the front and looked to be gone, but in true 100K fashion, it was brought back and a field sprint was looming. However, 4 racers got off front with a little over 1 lap to go and managed to hold off the field. CTM best finish was Sean at 23rd, which was a little disappointing considering CTM rode such a good race. Sean found himself on the pavement with just one lap to go and had to chase to back on and then fight to get back to the front of 150 rider field. Still we will take 23rd in full Pro race.
This concludes our August and be looking for CTM at the races in the final months of the season.
We have some big things coming for 2009 and beyond and our goal to become one of the best elite teams in the US.
